As you might already know – I was really inspired to start this whole DIY kick after attending a Junior League of Washington Event with designer Matt Swingly of McMaster Wallace Interiors. We spent an evening with him learning a few tips and tricks of the trade. This event was a kickoff to get people excited for the Junior League of Washington’s big spring fundraiser – Tossed to Found.
The 20th annual event cleans out closets of Junior League Women, their families and friends, providing for a rummage sale like no other. You can find everything there from pre-owned quality designer items, fashions, jewelry, furniture, housewares, books, electronics, sporting goods – you name it – they most likely have it.
Aside from finding some great pieces for yourself – all funds generated go to support the Junior League and their work in the Greater DC area around education and volunteerism. Also, all unsold merchandise will be donated to local charities and people in need.
Don’t miss the opportunity to snag a fabulous deal and help your community!
